Cranes Direct can supply a range of quality aluminium gantry systems with lifting capacities up to 2000kg.
Light & Compact
Depending on which model is selected the total weight of the aluminium gantry ranges from 128kg up to 213kg making them lightweight and easy to handle due to the quality aluminium used during the manufacturing process. There are just three parts to the aluminium gantry crane, all which fold up nice and neat and are secured together by two strong straps into a compact bundle making it ideal for moving, storing and loading into a van/lorry for transporting to another location.
Our Aluminium gantries are available in 4 lifting capacities, with a range of heights and spans; we supply models with safe working loads of 250kg, 500kg, 1000kg & 2000kg all of which come in 3 heights – 2500mm, 3000mm & 3500mm. The maximum span of the gantry varies between the sizes and is dependent on the SWL; the 250kg models come in spans from 2m up to 6m; the 500kg from 2m up to 5m; the 1000kg from 2m up to 4m and the 2000kg from 2m up to 3.5m.
Aluminium Gantry Crane: Features & Options
These gantries are height adjustable in 100mm increments up to a maximum of 500mm and come complete with a hoist trolley to which you can attach your chosen hoisting device; also included are four braked castors which swivel completely through 360 degrees to enable free and easy movement of the gantry. For easier transportation we include 2 securing straps to hold the 3 parts together when dismantled. The optional extras available include adjustable parking jacks to aid levelling when the gantry is used on un-even ground, and a winch type kit consisting of a little lever hoist to attach to the side legs to aid safety and easier usability when raising and/or lowering the gantry to different heights.
Assembly & Height Instructions
Aluminium gantries cranes are simple to erect; it is recommended that this is completed by two people. Here’s how;
Step 1; fully open out the legs on each ‘A’ frame
Step 2; locate the top horizontal beam inside the top plate of one leg, secure with pins, slide hoist trolley onto the beam then the repeat for 2nd leg.
Step 3; engage both of the brakes on one side, with one person holding main top beam the 2nd person pushes the opposite (un-braked) side into its upright position, when at 90 degrees with beam, secure with locking pin and apply brakes.
Step 4; release brakes on 1st side and push up, as you did with the other one, lock with pin when in position, engage brakes.
Assembly is now complete; just ensure all pins etc. are fully secured before use. If you need to adjust the height we recommend raising or lowering one end at a time and by only 1 or 2 increments. To adjust, simply hold the upright firmly to prevent it from dropping, remove the locking pin and raise/lower by 1 or 2 holes and re-insert locking pin; repeat on other side until the desired height is reached.
